During the tour, we will make two photo stops to enjoy the city from its most scenic places. The panoramic tour begins at the enchanting Villa Torlonia, a picturesque estate nestled amidst lush gardens and neoclassical buildings.
Next, we’ll continue into the sprawling expanse of Villa Borghese, a verdant oasis in the heart of the bustling city.
We’ll admire the iconic Cassazione, the majestic Palace of Justice, whose imposing facade dominates the skyline. We will be able to get off the bus to take pictures and capture the grandeur of this architectural masterpiece. We will then continue by bus by crossing the ancient Ponte Sant’Angelo, adorned with angelic sculptures, to reach the imposing Castel Sant’Angelo. Unravel centuries of history within its walls, from its origins as a mausoleum to its transformation into a papal fortress.
We will be able to see from the bus the vibrant neighborhood of Trastevere, where narrow cobblestone streets lead to bustling piazzas and charming trattorias.
Crossing the Tiber River, we will admire the enchanting Isola Tiberina, a tiny island steeped in legend, before continuing to the majestic Terme di Caracalla. Marvel at the grandeur of these ancient Roman baths, whose towering ruins stand as a testament to the opulence of a bygone era.
Get off the bus for a photo opportunity at the historic Circo Massimo, once the site of ancient chariot races and now a sprawling green space where locals gather to relax and unwind.
Our panoramic tour then takes us to the legendary Bocca della Verità, the Mouth of Truth, where according to the legend brave souls test their honesty by placing their hand in its ancient mouth.
We will see the picturesque Quartiere Ebraico, the Jewish Ghetto, where history and tradition blend seamlessly with modern life. Admire the historic synagogues along the scenic Lungotevere, the riverside promenade, and soak in panoramic views of the Tiber River and its iconic bridges.
We will pass in front of Rione Ponte, a labyrinth of narrow streets and hidden courtyards brimming with artisan shops and quaint cafes. Marvel at the timeless beauty of the Ara Pacis, the Altar of Peace, a magnificent marble monument dedicated to the goddess Pax Augusta.
Conclude our tour at Via Guido Reni and the MAXXI, Rome’s striking contemporary art museum designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid.
