Transportation in Rome

Buses, subway trains (Metro), trams (streetcars), and light rail are operated by the same company called ATAC. You can hop on any of their transport using the same ticket. We recommend the BIT ticket, which is a one-way ticket that costs €1.50 and is valid for 100 minutes within the city limits (not valid from/to airport).
